IN THE FINAL EXTERNAL GCSE EXAMS all papers are 1 hour 15 minutes in duration and contribute 16.7% towards the combined GCSE. Students will be awarded 2 grades for Science. Exam questions will include a mix of multiple choice and longer more open response questions. 15% of questions will be based on the required practicals, which students have carried out in lessons. Other questions will test science knowledge, application of science knowledge, maths skills, analysing, interpreting and evaluating skills.
Mock exams in December will also be PAPER 1 only and PAPER 2 mock will be in March
