Task 1 - Guitar

An acoustic guitar – can match the audio with these mic placements?

  1. 40cm from the sound hole
  2. 20cm from the neck
  3. 20cm from the bridge
  4. 20cm from the sound hole 

An electric guitar - can you match the audio with these mic placements?

  1. Amplifier mic in the centre of the cone (close mic)
  2. Amplifier mic off centre from the cone (close mic)
  3. Amplifier mic in the centre of the cone (20cm back) 
  4. Amplifier mic in the centre of the cone (40cm back)
  5. Pair of mics in the centre of the cone and in the back of the cabinet

Task 2 - Drum Kit

Can you match the audio with these mic placements on the snare drum?

  1. Dynamic mic above pointing at the centre of the snare
  2. Dynamic mic above pointing at the edge of the snare 
  3. Dynamic mic below the snare
