Year 10 Art and Design Revision


Areas of Key Revision

You will produce work for your year 10 exam over two lessons and a 5 hour period sat in one day. All work completed in this time will be marked as part of the exam not just the 5 hours.
Choose an artist relevant to your theme. This work will form part of your second coursework project and should link in with what you have been doing in lessons.

Exam Information

  • The exam will start at 9 o'clock and you will need to arrive in your art room for 8:45.
  • You will work in exam conditions, going to break and lunch as normal.
  • No music or phones are allowed in the exam.


    • Tasks

    Task One

    To be completed in the two lessons running up to the exam and for home study.

    Complete an A1 Artist research board to include the following:

  • Artist copy
  • Artist experiments
  • Written critical study

    • Observational studies in the style of your artist including photos, drawings, collage etc.

    The above work needs to be mounted and completed for the start of your five hour exam day.

    Task Two

    To be completed in the 5 hour exam.

    Produce your own image in the style of your chosen artist.

    To be handed in at 3 o'clock on the day of your exam.
