Unit 4 - Task 2

Scenario

You have been taken through to the second stage of the interview process.
The advertising company now need you to show how two of these ideas could be developed further.

Again, it is important to show that you can compose in different styles, so you should choose two ideas that are different in character to develop further.

Task 2

You should now choose two from your four Cubase projects of ideas to refine and improve explaining how you have developed your ideas in an accompanying presentation. Label each one ‘Advert 1 developed’ and ‘Advert 2 developed’. 

Use melodic and harmonic compositional development techniques and music technology to develop two contrasting styles of music that synchronise with the video images.

Evidence you must produce for this task:

A portfolio of two developed compositions, comprising of two Cubase project files and two PowerPoint presentations using screenshots to demonstrate how you have transformed each of your musical ideas and how they synchronise with the on-screen images.

I can develop the melody by decorating each note with a MORDENT.

I can develop the melody by decorating the third note with a TURN.

I can develop the melody by adding ACCIACCATURA (Grace Note) to some of the notes.

I can develop the melody by adding TREMELO on the second and third notes.
