Scratch Project Brief

Now it's your chance to show your teacher how much you can do in Scratch.

You are going to plan and create your own game using Scratch.


You will learn how to:

  • Use different costumes for sprites.
  • Make a sprite move.
  • Control movement using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
  • Use sensing instructions so something happens when sprites sense each other.
  • Change backgrounds.
  • Use timers and scoring systems.
  • Show/hide sprites.
  • Combine the different script instructions to create a simple game.


  • Rules

    You are allowed to come up with your own idea for the game, however you must make sure it has the following:

  • User controls (keyboard/mouse).
  • Sensing.
  • Timer.
  • Scoring.
  • You might want to think about:

  • Sound effects
  • Use different keys to control events.
  • Different levels
