 Assessment

  • Decide on a game idea and produce a plan of how this will look.
  • Plan the background story and characters to the game.

  • Evidence of the creation of characters and objects.
  • Evidence of the programming that controls the game.

Use the examples in your booklet when completing this section of the write-up.

Understand how to combine programming techniques learnt in Kodu to produce a game to meet a chosen design.

 Assessment

  • Own game created using Kodu.
  • Own game created, that matches the design documentation (some bits may not work as planned).
  • Own game completed using a range of programming techniques and works as expected.

Before submitting your game you will need to test it using the Peer Assessment Document in your booklet.

Once testing has been completed you need to complete the testing and evaluation sections of the planning document. Use the examples in this document to ensure you answer this section correctly.

Understand the importance of testing and reviewing a game to make it better.

  • Completed peer assessment sheet giving useful feedback to a friend.
  • Detailed evaluation explaining results of testing, peer assessment and own opinions.
