Finding Errors

Time to do some investigation and problem solving.

Open the spreadsheet 'Adventure Land Mistakes'. You will remember this is the ticket sales sheet you worked on previously, however on this spreadsheet there are 5 mistakes. Some of the mistakes have produced an error message on the screen, some however have not, which means you will need to search for them. You must first find the 5 errors that have been made. When you have found them all you must next try to correct them. Remember to enter test data to see if you have found the correct solution.

  1. Using the find and replace tool command replace Months with no bookings with the text - Months with no sales.
  2. Find the five errors on the sheet. Some are quite sneaky and will require some careful examination of the figures.
  3. Correct the errors by changing the formulae or functions to make them correct.
  4. Test your corrections by entering test data and checking the results.
